This video was originally made in response to Nadya Magnus’s call for ladies willing to play in the Day 1 World Series of Poker $10,000 Entry Main Event, a sort of audition on why she should pick you for the two free buy-in’s she was giving to ladies who play poker. Lady? Poker player? Why, that could be me! So Hailey edited up this great little short video for me to submit and I didn’t want her work to just sit forever in the unlisted section of my channel. Might as well use it for an introduction!
There are few details about my personal life I allow on the eternal interwebs, so for the 54 NEW AMAZING SUBSCRIBERS currently reading this, this is a great chance to see what’s under the hood - Who is this chick writing these tri-weekly updates?

For those who do not already know, I worked at the Kennedy Space Center as an Educator for three years before joining the United States Navy. I then served for 11 years as an 1830 Intelligence Officer. I was promoted to Lieutenant Commander while overseas in Korea from 2018-2020 and was looking forward to staying in, “Until they kicked me out.” Well, that unfortunately happened to me on 25 May 2022 after my repeated refusal of the jab. The subsequent removal of the requirement AFTER my separation is all the proof I needed that my assertions about the unlawful nature of the order were 100% correct. I won’t get into the minutiae, but suffice to say my BCNR (Bureau for the Correction of Naval Records) request is already submitted, and the last thing I want to do is spend my time sitting around waiting for a decision. Instead, I decided to go full bore on Metanoia Creative LLC - Gotta carpe that diem, baybee!
And carp it, I did.
Now that Behind The Curtain (BTC) is out in the world, I’ve got a whole swath of to-do’s for the next big project, but only time will tell which of my planned projects will be “next”. I am immensely proud of the work our team did for BTC, which has more than tripled it’s statistically probable numbers, fantastic for an out-of-pocket produced labor of love. While we do have the story and prep ready for Kill Your Darlings (KYD), we learned a valuable lesson from producing BTC: Never put your own money in the show. Of course this goes hand in hand with my constant assertion that real art doesn’t make money, so the key is to raise it beforehand through like-minded people who also just want to see great pieces of art in the world.
BTC cost us a pretty solid chunk of change to put together. Paying the 3D animation crew, our animation supervisor and modeler, technical artist, music arrangers, and general production items like sound elements and software really add up. That’s the other reason this took so long, all the money came out of pocket for us. Currently, neither Hailey nor myself have the funds to pour out for another video of this magnitude. And since I’m not one to request free labor from a fanbase in exchange for “exposure” or “experience,” until we secure funding for KYD, we’ll be working on projects that only require only our own individual time and effort.
It speaks volumes that Hailey did all of the 2-D animation, illustrations, and nearly every 2-D element in this production on her own; that workload is nothing to sneeze at, and we’d need at least another 6 of her caliber and quality to pull off some of the scenes we have in mind for KYD.
My hope is that BTC goes viral and financially paves the way for the production of KYD, or that we have an overwhelming outreach of people eager to crowdfund the big finale. The chat was HYPE during the premier, so I know you guys are out there! Still, there’s good stuff en route either way, so I hope you gang enjoy the show to come!
In the meanwhile, I will be embarking on a multi-month mission very soon. I will be road tripping across this big beautiful United States with my good friend Serch, networking for Metanoia Creative and writing the whole way! Please look forward to strangely specific foci on the many cool things, people, and places we’ll be seeing and stopping at along the way. Might even drop in to the Meta PC’s crew HQ on the way to Vegas to thank them again for my deep sea BEAST of a build. I’ll show it off to you guys some day, but it is not this day.
