I had reached out to Mr. Jeffrey Meek simply intending to ask him to dub a comic I’d be using for my interview with Richard Epcar, and after a brief chat, asked if he’d be alright with me also interviewing him since I was on a Mortal Kombat run recently.
Originally I assumed him being terminally California and New York bound along with the acting and showbiz backgrounds meant that he was hard left-wing communist. Imagine my surprise when that did not turn out to be the case at all! Not only that, but he turned out to have worked with an amazing array of classic names like Roddy McDowall, Bob Hoskins, Peter Boyle, and many more.
I believe my exact words were “Who had “Secretly Based Actor Jeff Meek” on their bingo card? NOT ME!!” after I’d finished the interview. So what began as a Zoom using the usual alloted time for gabbing, turned into my longest interview to date!
Tune in tonight at 2000 EST for the premier of The Works with Jeff Meek’s amazing array of acting stories and more!
